Student feedback

At first I thought that success only existed through straight lines, I thought that once you fall you couldn’t get back up again but then one of you guys told us that “success can be like squiggly lines” it made me feel relieved… you have made me more confident in my dream and I thank you for it.

Student, One Tree Hill College ( Camp 2016 )

Some people would tell me that I can’t do it or can’t achieve it or you will fail and I would straight away give up. But from this camp I ain’t letting nobody STAND IN MY WAY…THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY DREAMS FEEL MORE REALISTIC.

Student, Aorere College ( Camp 2016 )

On my first day all that was going through my mind was that “how am I going to be liked if I’m being myself”. This made me realise understand that people will love you way more if I’m myself. This camp has inspired me 100% to just be me and only me.

Student, One Tree Hill College ( Camp 2016 )

I now feel comfortable being myself. Previous to this experience I was afraid to embrace my blood disorder in fear that society may judge me. I now feel empowered.

Student, One Tree Hill College ( Camp 2016 )

I am truly grateful for this amazing camp. It’s a blessing to be able to listen to the words of encouragement of the successful heros. I am going to try my hardest.

Student, Auckland Girls’ Grammar School ( Camp 2016 )

I thought dreams only happened in your head and all my goals would never happen but coming to this camp showed me to put my dream in to reality. Thank you… not only am I a dreamer but also a believer because I believe I can believe anything that I put my mind into.

Student, Auckland Girls Grammar School ( Camp 2016 )

I really enjoyed listening to the speakers. They all really inspired me to do what I enjoy, don’t make excuses and it doesn’t matter where you are from, anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it. Annette was saying how she felt the fear and did it anyway so I’m not usually someone who would , I don’t believe in myself enough so I really want to be a silverfern or mystics netball player.

Student, Massey High School ( Camp 2016 )

The main highlight from the past few days would be the inspirational speakers because they helped me believe in myself a bit more and how that there are no limits to my dreams.

Student, Massey High School ( Camp 2016 )

After the three days I feel more comfortable about my fears and my dreams and feel I can challenge myself more as the speakers opened my eyes to confidence.

Student, Albany Junior High School ( Camp 2016 )

It has inspired me to not be afraid and to push through failure. Also remember that there will always be someone who has it worse off and someone who is better off.

Student, Albany Junior High School ( Camp 2016 )

Main highlight was getting hear speakers from Aotearoaa make it big out in this world and also hearing their past stories that relate to me in so many ways.

Student, Manurewa High School ( Camp 2016 )

These past few days have left me inspired because my mind wasn’t set with a positive attitude. I doubted my abilities and would never believe in myself. I wasn’t at a great mind set with what I was capable of.

Student, Onehunga High School ( Camp 2016 )

It has made me change my perspective on my DREAMS! From now on I am always going to chase my dream. If I keep failing I’m going to pick myself up and try again. Thank you for making my dreams feel more realistic.
